The gorgeous teen girls of India are competing hard to claim the title of Miss Teen Diva as well as chance to represent India in Miss Teen International 2009. And why is there a guy's caricature on the Teen Diva Logo... Puzzles me?

The show is a great exposure to those girls who aspire to don high heels and become the face of fashion as well as take on other entertainment careers. But one thing that conflicts is the continuous disassociation with Miss India or Miss World type of demeanor. After all the show is a beauty pageant sorts it doesn't matter what you call it... if you get to wear a tiara at the end and walk down the ramp Yes it is a beauty contest.

Teen Diva might just want to make themselves a bit different than regular beauty shows by giving some meaningful tasks like making an advertisement for Karele ka Juice but so does Paris Hilton in her show My BFF by asking her contestants to make ad campaign. And at the end of it the show comes to tinsel town task where the girls are required to put on makeup and get ready for a glamorous photo shoot.

What's with the pretense of Teen Diva not being a beauty pageant like Miss India or others... if one gets Tiara and bouquet of flowers in the end then what else is it?
